Young Explorer Camps for 2008

Camps offered through Grace Lutheran Dayschool are for children ages three through Kindergarten (Children must be three years of age by June 1, 2008).  It is expected that all children attending YEC are fully potty-trained.  Camps run from 9:00-12:00 Monday through Friday.  Our camp offerings for summer 2008 are listed below:          

June 16-20, Fun in Fairytale Land

          With a wink of your eye and some old-fashioned star dust, we’re going to turn Grace Lutheran Dayschool into a place where dreams really do come true!  Children will delight in fun and fantasy as they explore materials that shimmer and shine and discover what it feels like to be a king or queen for the day!  Language, math, and social skills will be reinforced across the curriculum in true fairy-tale fashion.

June 23-27, Dig Those Dinos

      Ever since the first dinosaur fossil was identified in 1822, people of all ages have been fascinated by the wonder, mystery, and curiosity surrounding these phenomenal creatures.  Children will be invited to make their own discoveries about these prehistoric animals and have a roaring good time learning dino-mite facts while language, math, and social skills are reinforced.  

July 14-18, By the Beautiful Sea

      Beach sand, seashells, and squiggly underwater friends catch the imaginations of all young fishermen as they explore the watery deep.  There’s plenty of fun in the sun while children are immersed in a sensory-rich environment that’s almost as fun as the real beach!  Surf’s up for learning with activities that reinforce language, math, and social skills.

July 21-25, The Big Red Barn

          Whether your little ones are primarily country folk or city folk, there’s a bushel of learning opportunities down on the farm!  Acres of language, math and social skills will be reinforced as the children are introduced to farm dwellers, the farm landscape, farm foods, and some plain old farm fun.  So what are you waiting for?  We’ll meet you by the big, red, barn!
