The people you will see and read about on this website.  At various times in our lives, the answer to that question can vary. I am a student, I am a daughter or son, I am a husband or wife, a mother or father, an employee of a certain company. I am a homemaker or teacher or musician or nurse. I am a plumber or an electrician or the owner of a business.  But as you know, there are so many things in life that change. And some of the things that change can even be part of who we are. People say nothing lasts forever.

But there is one thing that will last forever. The biggest part of your identity has been established by God.  Some parts of your identity will change, but the fact that you are a child of God will never change. In your baptism God claimed and named you as His own. In Holy Communion, God continues to forgive, nourish and strengthen you for life and ministry.

Our identities change at different times and phases of our lives. But as you look at the people and their ministries on this website, one thing is constant. You are looking at God’s children - God’s church called Grace Lutheran Church of State College. We are people who gather around Word and Sacrament, people who pray and study and serve and struggle and depend on God for daily bread.
