This takes place at 9:00am each Sunday in Harkins Hall. We will be using An Illustrated Earth: Celebrating God’s Creation to explore creation and stewardship. Come to one or come to all sessions! When a child is baptized we all promise to support them in their life of faith – this is an opportunity for us to do so together!
Grace seeks new adult choir director – After many years of service to our church, Jan Mianulli, the director of our adult choir, has decided to retire. We thank her for her years of service to our church. As a result, Grace Lutheran Church is seeking an adult choir director with experience in choral directing and selecting traditional music based on a liturgical calendar. If you are qualified and interested in applying, please send a cover letter and resume to Grace Lutheran Church, 205 S. Garner, State College, PA 16801 or email@example.com by August 10.
Let’s help a refugee family – Mohammad is already in Germany. He is desperately trying to get his wife and two children from a refugee camp in Damascus, Syria to Berlin.
The German nonprofit organization, Syrian Refugee Sponsors, is raising money for Mohammad’s family and Grace will help via our membership in The Centre County Refugee Welcome Committee. A Bucket Collection is scheduled for August 6 after each service. Because of folks going on vacation, donations will be accepted via the offering plate through that date. Make checks out to Grace Lutheran Church with ‘Syrian Refugee’ on the memo line.
Grace garden giveaway – The Grace Garden Giveaway is up and running again! Visit the table in the Garner Street area of the narthex on Sundays if you have vegetables, fruits or flowers you cannot use. Also, feel free to take any produce that has been donated. This is not an exchange. You don’t have to give anything to take something. The produce is free to all!
