Music

Music at Grace makes community, proclaims the Good News, taps into our God-given creative gifts and enhances the teachings of our faith. We worship in a variety of musical styles and we have fun! If you enjoy making music and would like to participate, contact our Director of Music and Arts Ministries.

Crossfire Youth Choir

Includes students in grades 6-12 rehearses on Sunday mornings from 10:00-10:30. We sing in morning worship services six or seven times annually, at AdventFest, Nine Lessons and Carols in December, and Celebration of the Arts in May.

Children’s Choirs

Grace offers a children’s choir (grades K – 5) that rehearses on Sunday mornings from mid-September through early May. Children meet each week from 10:00-10:30 AM (during Snack ‘n Chat / coffee hour), where they sing, learn faith-based songs, play rhythm instruments, and develop confidence within the community. The choir sings occasionally during 9 AM worship and participates in our annual AdventFest and our “Celebration of the Arts” in early May.

Other Musical Opportunities

Vocal and instrumental ensembles appear regularly in our 9:00 and 10:30 services allowing a broad group of music makers to participate without a regular rehearsal commitment.

Each year early in May, Grace offers “A Celebration of the Arts” where participants of all ages are welcome to share their God-given gifts in performing and visual arts. During Lent, Grace invites the community to participate in our regional ecumenical choir to sing, learn, and grow. This annual program culminates in a musical meditation, preparing us for Holy Week and Easter joy.

Music & Our Community

Our staff and volunteer musicians provide occasional faith-based musical performances for nursing homes. Themed programs include sacred and secular music and some hymns that spread joy.
